Over 550 sick from food poisoning at Egypt's al-Azhar

CAIRO: Egypt's Health Ministry said on Tuesday that the number of cases of food poisoning of al-Azhar students had reached over 550 by late afternoon. There have been no deaths.
An official told the state news agency on Monday that the cases were divided over several local hospitals to receive medical attention, adding that they are all stable.
Hundreds of students of the Muslim world's most prestigious university had gathered in protest on Monday, blocking main roads and bringing traffic to a halt, to express anger over campus meals causing food poisoning.
