Hundreds of members of the hardcore soccer fans (Ultras Alexandria) besieged the headquarters of the Central Bank and cut off a main road in Alexandria. They raised banners condemning the Ministry of Interior and chanted slogans for the martyrs of previous clashes saying, “Either we bring back their rights, or we die like them.” Director of Alexandria Investigations Office, Nasser Al-Abd, said that the Ultras youth surrounded all the doors to the Central Bank and halted the employees from going in or outside of the bank by blocking the entrances. He added there were no acts of vandalism or any damages in the bank. The bank's besiege lasted for about 40 minutes, paralyzing the traffic in the area. The security forces intensified its presence in downtown of Alexandria in case the events develop and they need to intervene to break up the gathering of the Ultras. BN
