CAIRO: Egypt's administrative court struck down on Wednesday an Interior Ministry appeal to isolate bearded policemen, ordering their return to work. State commissioners had asked the court to issue a final verdict on the issue, supporting an Alexandria court's decision to let the police officers grow their beards if they please without suffering negative consequences. The commissioners also rejected the Interior Minister's appeal to annul the Alexandria-court decision after he had claimed the issue was out of the court's jurisdiction. BN
