DUBAI: The Third Qatar International Forum for Businesswomen will be held in Doha on October 15-16. It is being organized by the Qatari Businesswomen Association in collaboration with Interactive Business Network, the Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported. “The forum will start with an in-depth analysis of the economic situation in the Arab region and the prospects before primarily focusing on the Arab women issues in general, in addition to the successes of Arab women in various business fields,” said Aisha Alfardan, Vice President of the Qatari Businesswomen Association, during a press conference on Tuesday. Speaking at the press conference, Raed Chehayeb, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Interactive Business Network, said that the forum has gained broad and growing attention both on the regional and international levels, with the participation of international speakers, panelists and delegates from the United States, Canada, western Europe, Russia and Australia, in addition to the Arab world. The forum, with the theme “Preparing for a New Era of Empowerment in the Arab World”, is expected to attract about 800 participants comprising officials, women, businessmen and representatives of non-governmental organizations, media and other sectors.
