KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia police reported that they arrested a married couple and a teenager on Friday in a raid aimed at cracking down on drug trafficking in Ampang. Selangor police chief Hisan Hamzah said police also seized two Smith & Wesson revolvers with 40 rounds of ammunition and a plastic packet, believed to contain 134 gram of heroin, in the raid.. Police also found 10 machetes and several tools, which they said were used to pack drugs in the house, Hamzah told reporters at a press conference on Monday. He added that the couple, 28 and 27, and the male teenager, all with no previous records, would be kept in detention until August 3 to “facilitate police investigation.” The three could face the death penalty, a mandatory sentence in Malaysia for drug crimes.
