CAIRO: The Advisory Council (AC) rejected suggestions on issuing a draft law to set the criteria for selecting the Constituent Assembly (CA). The AC urged the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) to issue a constitutional declaration to complete Article no. 60 that includes clear standards to end the controversy on the criteria of choosing members of the CA. This, in a statement read by the AC chairman Sameh Ashour following its weekly meeting on Tuesday, in the presence of Maj. Gen. Mamdouh Shahin, the member of SCAF. During the meeting, Ashour said that the AC discussed the suggestions on issuing a draft law to set the criteria for the selection of the CA.
