CAIRO: Egypt's Ismailia Criminal Court has adjourned the stadium massacre trial until May 5 and ordered that defendants be remanded in custody. The court will hold successive sessions starting on May 5 through May 9, to hear testimonies by the chief forensic doctor and prosecution witnesses. Defendants are accused of killing 73 and injuring 254 more fans of al-Ahli Club in a February match versus Port Said's al-Masri team. The court also ruled on Tuesday to include the Interior Minister, chairman of the National Sports Council and chairman of al-Masri Club as opponents in the civil suits filed by families of the victims. Lawyers should be allowed to have copies of the file, the court said.
