NEW DELHI: India will on Thursday hold a two day BRICS countries conference which will look at ways to reverse the effects of the global down turn as far as the member countries are concerned. Leaders of the BRICS which comprises of fast emerging economies like Brazil, RussiaIndia, China and South Africa will also discuss issues relating to global economic slowdown, food, energy security, inclusive growth for member nation, among others. According to Sudhir Vyas secretary (economic relations) at India's ministry for external affairs, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Russia's Dmitry Medvedev, India's prime minister Manmohan Singh, South African president Jacob Zuma and Chinese President Hu Jintao will participate in the fourth ever BRICS summit. Apart from releasing a report on “synergies and complementaries” between the member nations, Vyas said that the report would also delve on ways for sustainable recovery from the economic slowdown, inclusive growth from the BRICS nations and financial reform for international financial organizations. The summit is also expected to deliberate on global political issues related to the prolonged conflict in Syria and the stand-off between Iran and the West over the nuclear issue. The BRICS countries are also expected to sign a Delhi declaration at the end of the summit which will underline a collective vision of the BRICS nations on the issues deliberated.
