Munich (dpa) – German carmaker recalled Monday 1.3 million cars to check a cover on a battery cable which could cause a fire. The company said the recall affected its 5 series and 6 series cars made between 2003 and 2010. A cable cover in the luggage compartment of the cars could in very rare cases have been wrongly assembled, the Munich-based company said. If so, the car's electrical system might malfunction, the car might not start and in extreme instances the wire might stop working or catch fire. In January, BMW recalled 235,000 of its Mini brand because of a risk of fire. BM ShortURL: http://goo.gl/4VEHZ Tags: BMW, Car, Fire, Germany, Recall Section: Latest News, Tech, Western Europe
