CAIRO: Tanzania's fast moving Zantel telecom operator said they were excited about an agreement with campaign management services provider Flytxt for its subscriber engagement initiative. The deal, inked over the weekend, hopes to push Zantel into developing new campaigns to boost their subscriber base, the company said. The comprehensive mobile campaign management platform from Flytxt with advanced analytics capabilities will enable Zantel to “provide right offers to the right subscribers at the right time,” a company statement said. Ahmed Mokhles, Chief Commercial Officer of Zantel and Senior Vice President of Etisalat Group, said Flytxt “was selected not just for their matured technology but also for their consulting capability and proven global expertise in successfully managing a wide variety of mobile campaigns.” Speaking on the partnership, Vinod Vasudevan, CEO, Flytxt, said, “their technology was designed to enhance marketer's efficiency and allow them to be more creative and innovative in their mobile campaigns.” Mokhles added that Tanzania has great potential and “if we move pieces properly we can achieve a great deal of success and this is a great partnership to those ends.” Tanzania has seen in recent years a robust telecom sector move quickly to compete in East Africa's fast-paced IT environment.
