“Dare'n'Deal“ to be acquired by OTVentures

CAIRO: Egypt's Orascom Technology Ventures, an online and mobile technology company, recently acquired slightly over 50 percent of the Egyptian e-commerce website “Dare'n'Deal“.
Hanan Abdel Meguid, co-owner OTVentures, said that the acquisition is a path forward for the growing trend of e-commerce within the region.
According to Abdel Latif Osama, another co-owner of “Dare'n'Deal”, the company is planning to expand it's services beyond Egypt and into other countries in the region. He also mentioned that the website is visited by over 5 million users all over Egypt.
“Dare'n'Deal“ is a website that promotes knock-out discounts and retail deals in several cities across Egypt. It was launched in 2011 and has grown popularity very rapidly since.
