Beirut (dpa) – United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is “not welcome” in Lebanon, the Shiite movement Hezbollah has said. Ban is scheduled to visit Lebanon on January 13. “Ban and (UN special envoy) Terry Roed Larsen are not welcome in Lebanon,” Hezbollah official Mohammed Yazbeck was quoted as saying Sunday by Voice of Lebanon radio. In November, Hezbollah criticized Ban's report on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the conflict in 2006 between Israel and pro-Iranian Hezbollah and called for disarming groups there.
