CAIRO: Egypt is set to play a friendly football match against soccer legends Brazil in Qatar next month. The match will be played in Qatar's capital, Doha, on November 14. Originally, the match had been scheduled early September, but the game was cancelled due to security concerns. Last time the two collided, Brazil walked away with a close 4-3 victory over Egypt, an impressive feat from the current world number 34. Egypt's new coach is American Bob Bradley, who replaced Hassan Shehata. This will be his first game as coach. Egypt has managed to secure victory in the last three editions of the Africa Cup of Nations, but have since failed to qualify for the next tournament in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, which cost Shehata his job. The Egyptians will use the match to tailor their team for upcoming competitions. In the final quarter of qualifications, Egypt will use their Olympic lineup against Niger in preparation for the African Olympic qualifying tournament. Brazil is also set to take on Gabon, the hosts of the 2012 Nations Cup, in their capital Libreville in November. BM
