Lenovo drives for growth with New Brand Campaign
Published in Bikya Masr on 17 - 06 - 2011

DUBAI: Lenovo is driving for growth in the MEA markets with the launch of its new brand campaign ‘For Those Who Do'. The new campaign comes as Lenovo expands its regional team in UAE and adds new points of presence with offices in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
“The Middle East and Africa markets are strategic to Lenovo and we are committed to investing in building the very significant opportunities we believe exist in these markets,” said Lenovo Vice President and General Manager Middle East and Africa Jack Lee. “Lenovo is focused on growth, on investing for growth and helping our partners drive for growth.”
Lenovo has consistently been the fastest-growing PC company in the world, outstripping the growth of the industry as a whole over the past two years. As the world's fourth largest PC maker, the company is now investing in a unified brand campaign that will help to focus its growth as a ‘power brand' globally.
The ‘For Those Who Do' campaign also aims to strengthen Lenovo's brand perception as it expands beyond its PC leadership to roll out its range of tablets, smart phones, smart TV and digital home products. Lenovo's brand positioning revolves around the concept that Lenovo creates tools for “Doers”, people who see technology as an integral part of their lives, and for whom technology is a tool to help them achieve their goals.
“The ‘For Those Who Do' brand campaign represents an important long-term investment to take the brand to a worldwide audience, with particular focus on consumers, especially the younger generation of decision makers (18-25-year-olds) who are fueling the explosive growth in the consumer technology market,” said Lee. “In the Middle East, where youth makes up so much of the regional market, we see an incredible opportunity to drive further growth and success with this brand campaign.'
The Middle East is already a fast-growing market for the company. Lenovo Middle East and Africa Headquarters are based in the UAE, adding staff to manage an expanded regional portfolio. With new offices opening in the region and the recent appointment of global Vice President Jack Lee to head the region, who is based in Dubai Lenovo is set to build on a strong position in the regional enterprise space with a growing and award-winning range of vibrant, innovative consumer notebooks and devices aimed at ‘those who do'.
