Egypt stock exchange to reopen Tuesday

CAIRO: Egypt's stock exchange is set to reopen on Tuesday, the cabinet said in a statement. The exchange has been closed since January 27, two days after demonstrations began which finally ousted the country's 30-year president, Hosni Mubarak, on February 11.
“The prime minister has presented proposed measures through the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority and the Egyptian Exchange in preparation for a resumption of bourse trading, and this is in light of the bourse's decision to resume trading on Tuesday, March 1, 2011,” said the statement, which was released on Sunday.
