The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Arab Women Organization (AWO), chaired by Leila Ben Ali, Consort of the Tunisian President, signed a cooperation agreement at the closing session of the Third Conference of the AWO, in Tunisia, a statement from the organization said on Sunday. ISESCO Director General, Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, and AWO Director General, Wadoda Badran, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. According to the statement, the agreement “provides that the two parties inform each other of any projects or action programs of common interest, in line with their fields of action, coordinate their efforts and invite the other party to take part in the event.” It also stipulates that the two Organizations carry out joint actions, falling within their areas of competence, and fulfill common objectives, in accordance with conditions that determine the obligations of each party and their financial contribution to the activity. “These activities shall include conducting studies, and holding symposia, scientific meetings, and training sessions,” the statement added.
