HIghs and lows meet college football week 5
Published in Bikya Masr on 03 - 10 - 2010

Week five in the college football world was filled with both highs and lows for certain teams, but for fans it was nothing but pure excitement, well unless your favorite school happened to chalk up an L for this week's efforts.
We watched as the Buckeyes and Wolverines quarterbacks both scared their fan bases half to death as they went down with injuries. Later they would relieve their fan bases when they returned again to the game and led their teams to wins.
We saw an Alabama vs. Florida game not live up to all its hype as the Crimson Tide easily cruised to a 31-6 win.
We laughed when we heard that Tennessee had stopped LSU from scoring from one yard out, but they did it with thirteen defenders so the Bayou Tigers got another chance which they capitalized on by scoring the winning touchdown.
We gasped when we saw some of the acrobatic leaps form players as they made one handed catches and blocked punts. Don't believe just ask Navy and everybody in attendance at the Colorado vs. Georgia game.
We oohed and awed and all became witnesses to what was probably the best week of college football so far this season.
And even though some teams (Texas, USC, Georgia, Wisconsin, Florida) may not agree with that last comment there is always next week … right?
