The RSPCA states the person who did this to the cat is “sick,” and the organization is anxious to find the person who dyed the cat and then threw the cat over a fence in Swindon. Penny Gillespie, the veterinary surgeon who is caring for the cat now named “Pink” at Cheldene Veterinary and Boarding Cattery in Aldbourner, Marlborough stated the cat is in good health, and whoever dyed the cat was careful as not to get the dye near the cat's eyes or nose. Dr. Gillespie tried to bathe the cat, but has no idea what kind of dye was used, however the dye was not toxic.
