Palestinian medical sources announced Monday the death of Ahmad Al-Naheen, a 21-year-old Palestinian, who was shot Sunday by Israeli occupation forces, near Bureij refugee camp, central Gaza Strip. "The ambulance crews transported the body of the martyr to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah hours after being shot by the forces," Dr. Ashraf Al-Qadra, Ministry of Health spokesperson in Gaza told local radio stations. The radio stations reported that "Al-Naheen was suffering from mental disorders, and was subjected to heavy fire by Israeli soldiers, stationed in watchtowers, as he approached the border fence, east of Bureij camp." The radio confirmed that Israeli forces stationed near the Israel-Gaza fence, prevented Palestinian ambulance crews to lift Al-Naheen; therefore, he bled to dead. In this regard, Israeli army said that a number of its soldiers were killed Sunday night by Palestinian gunfire near the Gaza-Israeli border. Israeli army spokesperson told Israel radio Monday morning that "opening fire towards a Palestinian took place Sunday after dark," claiming "he was targeted after he had approached the border fence." "The unarmed victim, who appeared to be mentally unstable, entered the border region, which according to Israeli army, is a prohibited zone," the spokesperson concluded
