Bank Sohar's Saving Scheme Convoy Organises Al Mumayaz Daily Draws
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 01 - 10 - 2012

Bank Sohar 's Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme, which has been generating a great deal of excitement among customers across the Sultanate, brought special cheer for customers in Seeb and Al Khoud branches as the savings scheme convoy recently conducted the much awaited daily prize draw of RO5,000 at the two branches separately.
The daily draw was conducted at the two branches on different days in the presence of the branch managers and staff along with the winners, who won prizes from the same branch earlier.
"The Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2012 convoy has brought smiles on scores of customers across the Sultanate with the vast array of prizes where each draw has added wealth to a lucky winner every day. This has definitely made the savings scheme grow in popularity day by day,- Khalfan Rashid Al Tal'ey, DGM Retail Banking - Bank Sohar said.
''We want to ensure that the Al Mumayaz prize scheme benefits every section of the society bringing in new winners. New customers also have a chance to win prizes provided they maintain the required minimum balances in their accounts. It is the customers, who have helped the bank grow and have ensured that prize scheme reaches out to a larger segment of the society,'' Al Tal'ey added.
The bank organises the convoy at the branches to promote and spread awareness among customers, who are eagerly waiting for the fourth quarter prize draws of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2012 and also the year-end RO500,000 draw in the month of December.
The savings scheme offers customers the chance to participate in the prize draws worth RO1 million distributed as daily prizes of RO5,000 each throughout the year, quarterly prizes valued at RO540,000 and year-end grand draws consisting of RO600,000. An additional bonus is that account holders get four chances for every minimum average balance that they maintain in their accounts, while children get double the chances.
What the customers need to do to participate in the RO5,000 daily and the quarterly guaranteed branch draws of RO5,000, is to save an average minimum balance of RO100 for a period of 30 days in their savings bank account preceding the draw date and a minimum balance of RO100 on the day preceding the draw.
For the quarterly bumper draw of RO50,000 in September and the year-end RO500,000 draw in the month of December, the average monthly balance required is RO1,000. For the exclusive prizes of RO100,000, customers need to maintain an average monthly minimum balance of RO10,000.
