Tourism Sector Is Vital For National Economy....Tourists Numbers Increased : Kandil

Dr Hesham Kandil, Egypt's Prime Minister, said the tourism sector is one of the most vital sectors that contribute to supporting the national economy and eliminating the current challenges.
During his keynote speech in the annual conference of Belton Financial, Dr Kandil referred to some elements that indicate to the improvement of the sector and its significant contribution to the national economy. These eminent factors are the increased number of tourists in Luxor and Aswan in August 2012, 1,370 million tourists; compared to 900 thousands tourists in 2011. Also the occupancy rates have increased by 10%.
Dr Kandil referred that the tourism sector plays an important role in boosting the Egyptian economy, through the rise number of tourists come to Egypt; consequently it helps in circulating the hard currency in the country.
On the other hand, he added that the current government is working on several fronts to eliminate the current challenges and forming a determined vision on the level of the critical issues such as wages and education.
On the level of the suitable investing environment, Kandil assured that the government is working on carrying out several rapid reforms to provide good investing climate. This is through signing more agreements with many countries, such like receiving delegations from the US, Holland and Libya, in addition to other countries, which have the same targets represented in attracting more investments in the Egyptian market and signing more promising agreements.
He said further that the government jointly with the Ministry of Investment is working on ending all the disputes with a number of countries.
He elaborated that the Ministry of Investment facilitated the possibility of establishing a company in one day to encourage more foreign delegations to invest in the Egyptian market; emphasizing the necessity of the small and medium entrepreneurs. And he referred to the significance of having a dialogue with all Egyptian people before taking decisions help in the national economy.
