Samir El-Raghy, Centamin Egypt chairman, said those amounts of gold ore were sent to Australia so as to get refined and sold in the international markets as pursuant to the agreement no. 222/1994 signed between Centamin and the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA). “The pouring process of Sukari Gold Mine in Marsa Alam is resumed after being halted for 5 days."
