EIBA, EFSA To Discuss Unified Contract Next Week
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 11 - 07 - 2012

Adel Shaker, chairman of the Egyptian Insurance Brokers Association (EIBA), will hold a meeting next week with Dr. Adel Mounir, deputy chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA), to discuss the amendments made to the unified contract with EIBA's deputy chairman, Hossam Abdel Rehim, executive general manager of Al-Ahly Insurance Brokerage.
EIBA sent the amendments it made to the unified contract to EFSA last week so as to be well-studied by the regulator's officials before being discussed, Shaker noted.
Shaker hoped EFSA would not have any objections over these amendments so that insurance brokers can use the new contract in the new fiscal year that started on July 1st 2012.
The unified contract includes new conditions regulating the dealings between the insurance companies and insurance brokerage companies. The amendments were made to avoid the legal gaps in the current contracts.
EIBA held its fourth training course of the year about medical insurance. Dr. Walid Ouf, former deputy chairman of EIBA and general manager of MEDMARK Health & Life Insurance, lectured in this course with some other lecturers.
