The National Organisation for Military Production in Egypt and China's Dongfang Electric Corporation signed a protocol of cooperation in the field of manufacturing of three-phase generators. The two entities also agreed to cooperate in the manufacture of smart electricity meters and high-voltage measuring devices. Minister of State for Military Production, Mohammed Al-Assar, was in attendance at the event on Friday and said that the National Organisation for Military Production will cooperate with Dongfang to transfer the technology and the settlement of this important industry and lead joint manufacturing in cooperation with military production companies, with appropriate training for its personnel in this field. Assar pointed out that this protocol is a first step for strategic cooperation between the two parties. He said that this cooperation will contribute to providing foreign currency, increase the volume of joint investments, serve national projects in the country and promote good bilateral relations between the two countries. The two sides also agreed that their cooperation should be extended to include cooperation in research and development in the fields of Dongfang, and in the joint manufacturing of smart meters.
