After a year of halt, German flight arrives in Egypt's Sharm El Sheikh

A German flight arrived in Egypt's Sharm El Sheikh from Frankfurt on Saturday after -a year of suspension- with 170 passengers on board, Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Sherif Fathy stated.
The flight is operated by the Egyptian low fare airline Air Cairo -a subsidiary of EgyptAir- that operates scheduled flights to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan in the Middle East, and inclusive tour flights to Egypt from Europe.
Minister Fathy clarified that this flight comes as pursuant to the efforts exerted by the ministry to get Egypt's normal tourism rates back notably in Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada.
A number of European states halted their flights to Egypt after a Russian plane crashed in Egypt's Sinai in October 2015, killing all 217 passengers on board in addition to seven crew members.
On other side, Chairperson of Air Cairo Yasser El Ramly asserted that the company is set to operate a flight from Frankfurt to Sharm El Sheikh every week.
Air Cairo operates eight flights to Hurghada every week from a number of German cities notably Munich, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, and Hanover, El Ramly added.
