EGX Losses 2 Bln, Main Index Closes Below 4500 Pts

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) had on Wednesday's closing posted losses of EGP 1.9 billion as the capital market has reached EGP 325.002 billion.
The main index, EGX30 tumbled 0.40% to close at 4484.71 p. EGX20 shed 0.53% to end at 5071.22 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 inched higher 0.21% to conclude at 394.77 p. Price index EGX100 sagged 1.05% to finish at 695.36 p.
Traded volume reached 45.700 million securities worth EGP 147.675 million, exchanged through 10.712 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 163 listed securities; 74 declined and 61 advanced while 28 keeping their previous levels.
Arabs and Egyptians were net sellers seizing 66.98% and 8.65% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 418.107 and EGP 4.353 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers seizing 24.38% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 4.771 million excluding the deals.
