German HeidelbergCement eyes boosting investments in Egypt : FEI head

German building materials manufacturer HeidelbergCement Group plans boosting its investments in the Egyptian market within the upcoming period, Head of Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) announced.
Mohamed El-Sewedy stated Wednesday that the chairman of the German group is scheduled to visit Egypt next October to hold a number of meetings with Egyptian officials.
El-Sewedy made these remarks after his meeting with group's chairman among the visit of the Egyptian mission to Germany.
Federation's head also met with Chairperson of the German-Egyptian Parliamentary Friendship Group, Karin Maag in which they showcased economic, political, and social conditions in Egypt in addition to the IMF loan.
El-Sewedy and Maag -who is also a member at German Bundestag- discussed the procedures and efforts exerted by the government to improve investment climate in Egypt and remove all obstacles and problems facing investors.
The FEI head pointed out to the effective role of Egyptian parliament in reforming the legislative system to provide facilities for investors.
During his meeting with Eric Schweitzer -Head of German Chamber of Trade and Industry (DIHK)-, El-Sewedy emphasised on the importance of establishing German industrial zone.
He also emphasised on the importance of the technical cooperation between federations to enhance vocational education and training represented in the protocol signed between the German chamber and Federation Of Egyptian Chambers Of Commerce.
El-Sewedy invited chairman and members of the German chamber to visit Egypt in order to showcase conditions and hold meetings with Egyptian officials to discuss means of enhancing bilateral relations and removing all obstacles facing mutual cooperation between two states.
El-Sewedy made all those meeting as a member of the Egyptian mission that visit Germany on Wednesday September 7.
During its three-day visit, the Egyptian mission is set to hold important meetings with German officials and organisations.
