Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has charged Arab Contractors Company (AC) with restoration works of Homeland Security building, Shubra al-Khaima court and surrounding houses, Vice President Emam Afify said Saturday. Arab Contractors was charged to finish restoration works within maximum 20 days, the official stated. Last week, a huge car bomb explosion ripped through a Homeland Security building in northern Cairo early, injuring at least 29 people, including police. The powerful blast that took place in Qaliubiya's Shubra El-Kheima district was heard in several parts of Greater Cairo. Afify added that Arab Contractors has started restoration works at Shubra al-Khaima court Saturday and is currently working to restore the Homeland Security building. Arab Contractors has pumped more than 200 workers, engineers and technical supervisors to accelerate execution works to resume work at those buildings. The company started restoration works later at the day when the blast erupted, official Afify clarified. Afify further said that restoration works are intensive as the company is working through shifts over 24 hours.
