Egyptian-based leading Arab Contractors has recently signed new contracts to carry out three giant projects in Africa, official announced Sunday. According to Ibrahim Mabrouk, Head of Africa sector at Arab Contractors, the new contracts are part of Arab Contractors' strategy to expand its businesses into the African market in the current phase. The first and second contracts entitle Arab Contractors to establish a children's hospital in Uganda and to launch 1,000 new housing units in Equatorial Guinea, the Egyptian official said. Thirdly, Arab Contractors has signed a protocol to set up a pharmaceutical factory in Equatorial Guinea. Arab Contractors is seeking to bolster its presence in Africa and entering into new markets in the continent. The Arab Contractors (AC) is one of the leading construction companies in the Middle East and Africa, having established presence in over 18 countries and recently managed to enter for the first time into the Cameroonian, Ethiopian, DR Congolese, Togolese, and Tanzanian markets.
