Amer Group Coordinates With International Tourism Companies

Porto World Hotels and Resorts, an Amer Group company (AMER) , has started conducting protocols and agreements with international tourism companies through international conferences and exhibitions the company is keen to attend.
This is to attract Arab and foreign visitors, according to the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Manal Makram, adding that there will be several contracts during the next few days.
Finishing the first phase of Porto Matruh is a big achievement that assures that the company is going at a steady pace toward more achievements, especially that the project has great potential.
The project is on 338,985 sqm, of which the buildings ratio amounts to around 20%, while the landscape and roads are about 80%. The number of units amount to approximately 2,486, of which 1,485 are tourism housing units, and 1,001 are time share. The number of shops amounts to around 49 in the mall, according to a company statement.
The number of hotel rooms in Porto Matruh amount to 136. The project has a water desalination plant, a treatment plant, an emergency power plant, a laundry, and a boiler, with total space of 3,335 sqm.
According to the statement, the project has the first paved walk in Matruh right by the sea, at around 1km in length. The project would have also the biggest shopping mall that has international brand cafes in Matruh, in addition to the beach services like the cafes and restaurants. Moreover, it would include the first yacht marina, and the first waterpark, and the first diving centre.
The Porto Matruh project has a five-star hotel, of which its first phase was opened with a hotel capacity of 91 rooms, while the second phase is being worked on currently, according to the statement.
The hotel's capacity amounts to around 200 rooms, which was confirmed by the head of the hotel, Ibrahim Qasem, who said the hotel's occupancy rate amounts to 100%. He added that there is high demand on Porto Matruh, especially as they provide everything to the visitors of the hotel and the resort.
