Centamin Says Sukari Q4 Gold Output Climbs 40%

Centamin Plc. (CELTF.PK, CEY.L, CEE.TO) Thursday said total gold production for the fourth quarter from its Sukari Gold Mine in Egypt was a record 128,115 ounces, up 40 percent on the corresponding quarter in 2013 and 37 percent higher than the third quarter of 2014.
This brings full year production to 377,261 ounces, a 6 percent increase on 2013 and within the revised guidance of between 370,000 and 380,000 ounces.
Quarterly throughput at the process plant rose 9 percent sequentially to 2,597kt, and above nameplate capacity of 10Mtpa. There is also potential to increase further during subsequent quarters as the new plant expansion is fully optimized. Open pit total material movement increased 21 percent on the previous quarter, to 13,804kt.
