Sorouh launches Retail Property Brand “Boutik"
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 22 - 04 - 2012

Abu Dhabi's developer Sorouh Real Estate launched its retail property brand Boutik, enhancing the lifestyle experience at its major developments.
The Boutik brand brings a range of retail space, including a mall in Al Ain and centres at Sorouh's Sun and Sky Towers, The Gate Towers, Al Rayyana and Alghadeer developments.
From June, the first Boutik-branded space will open in Sun and Sky Towers, with Waitrose as the anchor tenant.
In the second half of this year, Sorouh will open Boutik Al Ain - a grade-A shopping mall centrally located in the city of Al Ain, which will house a Carrefour hypermarket.
The other Boutik retail centres will open as residential developments are completed and handed over to customers.
Retailers are already starting to set up at Boutik's two floors at Sun and Sky Towers, with over 13,000 square metres of space containing a large food and beverage component, as well as services such as banking, hairdressers and a spa.
Leading British supermarket operator Waitrose will open its first stand-alone Abu Dhabi outlet on the site.
At Al Rayyana, a 1,500 unit residential development, Boutik will feature 27 retailers. The largest space is taken by Maybury, a retailer which is expanding after success in Dubai.
It will offer a supermarket, delicatessen and restaurant, as well as offering a delivery service that is expected to be popular with a wider pool of residents in Khalifa City, as Gulf News stated.
Boutik Al Ain, with a gross floor area of nearly 85,000 square metres, is positioned as the premium shopping destination in the city.
Sorouh is developing a strong retail mix in the mall, including government services, leisure and gym facilities, as well as top fashion outlets.
Abubaker Seddiq Al Khouri, Managing Director, Sorouh, said: "The retail component is vital when you are developing new and modern communities as they greatly enhance the lifestyle experience. Boutik is the culmination of over five years of retail concept planning to ensure that our customers get what they are looking for."
