In Ten Months, Egypt's Food Exports Record US$2.5 billion

Egypt's food exports, during the last ten months, reached US$2.5 billion, 7% higher from US$2.3 billion, said Food Export Council.
According to Tameem El-Dawy – Marketing Manager at Egyptian Food Export Council, the country's food exports witnessed their highest levels during last May, to reach US$315 million, 15% up from same comparable month of last year.
He further referred that Egypt's top importers of food industries are; Saudi Arabia (US$286 million), Libya (US$168 million), UAE (US$126 million), and Jordon (US$113 million).
For the list of countries that witnessed the highest rise in volume as regard to receiving Egyptian food exports, the top official said it includes India (US$38 million up), Morocco (US$26 million up), and Palestine (US$25 million up).
During January-October 2014, aromas topped the Egyptian food exported items, recording US$260 million, followed by processed cheese with US$205 million, then sugar with US$153 million, and chocolate with US$121 million.
