Gold prices in Egypt rose on Wednesday, gaining 1.26 per cent across major purities, driven by domestic demand even as global bullion markets remained relatively steady, according to official pricing platforms.
At 16:28 local time (14:28 GMT), 24-carat gold was quoted at 6,434.25 Egyptian pounds per gram, up 80 pounds from Tuesday's close of 6,354.25 pounds. Other purities recorded similar gains:
