The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) signed an agreement with the SLB–Veridien alliance to conduct an advanced seismic survey using Ocean Bottom Nodes (OBN) technology across 95,000 square kilometres in the Eastern Mediterranean. The agreement aims to apply state-of-the-art seismic exploration technologies to enhance gas exploration in the region and attract new international investments. Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi witnessed the signing on Wednesday on the sidelines of the ADIPEC 2025 Conference and Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of SLB CEO Olivier Le Peuch and Viridien Executive Vice President of Geoscience Peter Whiting.
