Egypt's Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny opened Wednesday the 14th Cityscape Egypt, the country's largest real estate exhibition, saying the market remains one of the most promising in the region thanks to stable legislation and rising investor confidence.
The event, held under the patronage of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly at the Egypt International Exhibitions Centre, runs until Sept. 27 and features local, Arab and international developers.
El-Sherbiny said unprecedented urban development projects launched under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi have turned the property sector into a model for sustainable development, combining sound planning with diverse investment opportunities.
He stressed that Egypt is committed to creating a safe and attractive climate for investors through transparent real estate laws, streamlined land allocation and faster contracting procedures. "Market stability and sustained real demand are the strongest guarantees for long-term success," he added.
The minister also highlighted Egypt's efforts to develop new smart and sustainable cities, expand housing options, and position the country as a regional hub for real estate investment.
This year's exhibition introduces a new international pavilion with several global firms, underscoring Cityscape's growing role as a regional and international platform. First held in 2012, the event attracts more than 80 developers each year and also takes place in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar.
