Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population has launched its first scientific conference on clinical nutrition, the Nutri SMC Conference, under the auspices of Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and accredited by the Egyptian Health Council. The event, hosted by the Specialised Medical Centres Secretariat, aims to enhance continuous medical education and strengthen the scientific and professional skills of healthcare teams, while highlighting the vital role of clinical nutrition in improving patient care and recovery. The conference featured scientific sessions and specialised discussions for doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare providers, focusing on the fundamentals of clinical nutrition and its impact on treatment outcomes in hospitals. Workshops and panels addressed key topics including post-surgery nutrition, challenges in maxillofacial surgery nutrition, the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, clinical nutrition in transplantation medicine, paediatric nutrition, and the link between hormones and dietary habits.
