Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty praised the recent progress in relations between Egypt and Chad, reaffirming Cairo's full support for development projects in the African country. He highlighted Egypt's backing in key sectors including infrastructure, energy, education, health, agriculture, and capacity building. During a meeting with Chadian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul in N'Djamena on Monday, Abdel-Aty said Egypt attaches high priority to completing the overland road project linking the two countries. He said the project would boost trade and facilitate the movement of people and goods. Abdel-Aty also expressed Egypt's readiness to assist in building dams and rainwater harvesting wells. He further emphasised Egypt's interest in helping Chad establish a diplomatic studies institute to train Chadian personnel and reiterated Cairo's eagerness to complete the new Alexandria University campus in N'Djamena at the earliest opportunity.
