Egypt's Petroleum Minister visits Begonia-2 well in Delta

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi visited on Monday the Begonia-2 well site in the onshore Nile Delta concession of New Manzala, operated by Wasco Petroleum in partnership with Dana Gas.
The visit marked the start of an integrated programme to drill 11 new wells, expected to add around 160 billion cubic feet of natural gas. The plan aims to boost daily output by roughly 100 million cubic feet of gas and 2,000 barrels of condensates.
The initiative is part of the Petroleum Ministry's strategy to expand local production across various regions in Egypt, including the Nile Delta, in a bid to support the stability of the national gas grid.
