Egypt is stepping up efforts to secure its strategic reserves of essential goods in response to regional instability following Israel's military operation in Iran, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said on Friday. The prime minister said authorities are closely monitoring developments and that coordination is underway between Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Governor Hassan Abdalla and Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk to boost the country's stockpile of key commodities. The prime minister also said he would meet with the ministers of electricity and petroleum to review potential scenarios and assess the impact of the unfolding situation on energy supplies and broader economic stability.
