Egypt's Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) and Fayoum Governorate signed two financing contracts worth a total of 31.5 million Egyptian pounds to support micro-projects and stimulate economic activity across the governorate. The first contract, valued at 30 million Egyptian pounds, was signed with the Small Enterprises and Community Development Association (SECDA), while the second, worth 1.5 million Egyptian pounds, was signed with the Community Development Association in Manshaat Baghdad, with a focus on productive and agricultural sectors. The signing took place during a meeting between MSMEDA CEO Basel Rahmi and Fayoum Governor Ahmed El Ansari, where the two sides discussed expanding cooperation to create more job opportunities, encourage entrepreneurship, and support industrial initiatives that leverage Fayoum's natural resources and investment potential. During the event, ten employment contracts were handed over to trainees participating in the Employment with Others project, implemented in partnership with the Girls of Tomorrow Association and the Majd Misr Foundation under a European Union-funded agreement aimed at tackling the root causes of irregular migration. Certificates of project regularisation and classification were also distributed, enabling project owners to benefit from the incentives provided under Enterprise Development Law No. 152/2020. Cheques for Agency-funded projects were handed over, and five women received sewing machines as part of a project funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation to empower women's production groups through training and the provision of production equipment.
