Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Saturday inspected Al Tawakol for Steel Industries and Galvanisation Complex during a tour of several factories in the 10th of Ramadan City, as per a Cabinet statement. During the tour, Madbouly was briefed on the group's three key factories and their contributions to national infrastructure projects. These include the galvanisation plant, inaugurated in 2019; the towers factory, opened in 2021; and the poles and high-mast plant, which began operations in 2023. Chairman Sherif Abdel Fattah highlighted that Tawakol Metal has been a leader in Egypt's electrical industries since 1975, providing integrated manufacturing and supply solutions. The company employs over 4,500 workers and partners with global firms, with total group investments exceeding EGP 7 billion. Abdel Fattah also pointed to a joint venture with Dutch firm Signify and lighting technology company Gila, which involves foreign investments worth USD 50 million. The plant exports 60 to 80 per cent of its output to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and is staffed entirely by Egyptian workers, numbering over 1,000 engineers, technicians, and labourers.
