Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham says President Barack Obama has asked him and Sen. John McCain to travel to Egypt to urge the military to move ahead on elections. Graham told reporters on Tuesday that the two senators were trying to work out the logistics of the trip. He said they want to deliver a unified message that the military should allow new elections. Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi was toppled in a military coup on July 3 and the country has been roiled by deadly protests ever since. Graham said two Republican senators dispatched by a Democratic president would reinforce the bipartisan message that Egypt has to move to civilian control. Source : Ahram
