President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday affirmed Egypt's full support for the Arab Parliament's efforts to achieve its objectives, particularly in light of the exceptional circumstances facing the Arab world, which demand concerted efforts to protect the interests and resources of the Arab nation. During his meeting in Cairo with Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al Yamahi, President Sisi expressed appreciation for the body's role as a platform for dialogue on enhancing the interests of Arab peoples. He also praised the dedicated work of its members in strengthening inter-Arab relations in support of joint Arab action. For his part, Al Yamahi voiced his aspiration to deepen cooperation with Egypt in support of common Arab causes. He commended Egypt's leadership and people for their pivotal role in safeguarding Arab national security — particularly its efforts to restore the ceasefire in Gaza, facilitate the release of hostages and detainees, and ensure the entry of sufficient humanitarian aid into the Strip. Al Yamahi also expressed interest in drawing on Egypt's pioneering parliamentary experience and intensifying joint programmes to enhance the performance of the Arab Parliament — especially by adopting modern technologies and other tools to strengthen its role as a vital Arab mechanism for public engagement and protecting the collective interests of Arab states.
