Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty warned that Israel's aggression is escalating tensions in the region and obstructing efforts to restore stability. On Tuesday evening, Abdel Aty held phone talks with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, and Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares. Discussions focused on the Israeli assault on Gaza and its serious implications for regional stability. Abdel Aty urged the EU to pressure Israel to cease its attacks on civilians, calling it a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement. He stressed the importance of restraint to allow mediators to finalise a permanent ceasefire in its three phases. The officials agreed to continue coordination to de-escalate the situation in Gaza.
