The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Monday visited several health facilities affiliated with Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) in Luxor and Aswan Governorates, a Cabinet statement said on Monday. The visit aimed to review the patient's experience and service delivery methods across all authority's health facilities to enhance technical and technological support for quality services under comprehensive health insurance. Ahmed El-Sobky, chairman of the EHA, highlighted upcoming projects with JICA to enhance primary healthcare and prioritise patient-centred care, according to the Cabinet's statement. El-Sobky also expressed his pride in the long-term partnership with JICA as one of Egypt's key development partners, and their ongoing support for quality medical services and universal health coverage. Meanwhile, he highlighted the significant outcome of the partnership with JICA, the Patient-Centred Care project, which will run until 2027 as an extension of the Quality Improvement Project in Egyptian Hospitals (EH-QIPS). The JICA delegation commended the high-quality medical services provided by the Egyptian Health Care Authority facilities in all governorates under the comprehensive health insurance system, reflecting citizens' trust in the system.
