Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar held a meeting on Tuesday with UNICEF Representative in Egypt Nathalie Meyer to discuss strengthening cooperation in healthcare, nutrition, and mental health. The talks focused on promoting healthy nutrition, particularly in early childhood, and integrating AI education for children under specific guidelines to enhance their technological skills. Both sides also discussed cooperation in the Golden Thousand Days Initiative, aimed at improving maternal and infant health, and explored strategies to reduce caesarean birth rates and address maternal and child healthcare challenges. The discussions further emphasised expanding mental health services through primary care units, reaffirming Egypt's commitment to supporting Palestinians in Gaza amid ongoing humanitarian challenges.
