Nepal reported on Sunday a 1.57 per cent increase in electric vehicle (EV) imports during the first seven months of the current 2024-25 fiscal year, with a total of 6,256 EVs imported, compared to the same period in 2023-24. The EVs were valued at 14.75 billion rupees ($1.05 billion) and generated total revenues of 9.08 billion rupees ($64.7 million), as reported by the Department of Customs.
