Your Home in Egypt Initiative sees $2.5m in bookings in 48 hours – minister
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 23 - 02 - 2025

Egypt's newly launched Your Home in Egypt Initiative, designed to provide housing for Egyptians abroad, has seen overwhelming success, with $2.5 million in bookings within the first 48 hours, according to Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister El-Sherbiny attributed the strong demand to expatriates' confidence in Egypt's real estate market.
A Strategic Housing Initiative for Expats
The Your Home in Egypt Initiative was launched in response to the growing demand for high-quality housing and investment opportunities among Egyptians abroad. Developed in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives, the programme offers diverse housing options in key cities, featuring modern designs, premium amenities, and flexible payment plans.
To streamline the process, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), Banque Misr, and eFinance have signed a cooperation protocol to facilitate seamless digital payments for expatriates.
A Fully Digital Home-Buying Experience
The newly launched Your Home in Egypt website provides a comprehensive digital platform that enables users to:
* Take virtual tours of available units with high-resolution imagery.
* Explore detailed project locations and nearby services.
* Complete bookings and payments online with full transparency.
The platform was developed in collaboration with Exlnt Communications – a subsidiary of United Media Services (UMS); eFinance, and Banque Misr. It supports secure bank transfers, currency exchange payments, and credit card transactions, making the purchasing process fast, reliable, and fully digital.
Exclusive Benefits and Flexible Payment Plans
The initiative provides 12 projects across Egypt, offering luxury finishes, green spaces, and fully serviced communities. To make homeownership more accessible, the government has introduced:
* Discounts ranging from 3 per cent to 10 per cent below market prices.
* Flexible payment plans of up to 10 years.
* Immediate delivery for most units, with all homes set for handover by the end of the year.
Prime Housing Locations Across Egypt
The first phase of the initiative features homes in 12 high-demand developments, including:
* Greater Cairo and New Capital: Arabesque (Cairo), Capital Residence D2, Memsh D2, and Garden City (New Capital).
* New Cairo: Madinaty.
* Giza and Sheikh Zayed: Valley Towers East (New Obour), Seba (6th of October City), Valley Towers (Hadayek October), and Bliss Gates (Sheikh Zayed).
* North Coast: Coastal Towers and the Latin District in New Alamein.
* New Mansoura: Zahya.
