Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Equatorial Guinean President Obiang Nguema on Monday discussed security and stability in Africa and ways to strengthen African Union mechanisms. The two leaders stressed their commitment to advancing African interests on the international stage and enhancing joint initiatives within the African Union during a meeting in Cairo on the sidelines of Egypt Energy Show (EGYPS 2025). President Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's readiness to support Equatorial Guinea's development efforts as part of Cairo's broader policy of backing African nations and fostering regional cooperation.
